Adpatch is not progressing ahead after giving correct Apps password ?

Possible reason is Applsys user is locked because apps user refers to all underlying tables through Applsys user .
Applsys schema contains all the tables required for administarative purpose.
All the technical products' database objects are consolidated into a single schema called Applsys

Applsyspub schema is responsible for password checking.

How can we restrict a particular user request output to a particular output format  in oracle apps? (i.e only PDF Format)

We can restrict a particular user request output to a particular output format by setting up user profile options such
as FS_MIME_PDF at user level

Some of the other profile options are
FS_MIME_HTML, FS_MIME_PCL,FS_MIME_PS, FS_MIME_TEXT, and FS_MIME_XML
